George, a Brooklyn-born California native, spent his childhood in Bay Ridge liberally interpreting his mother's stick to the block rule to include bike rides up to Times Square. The wanderlust stuck. College and grad school included far-flung adventures to Nepal, Myanmar, Australia, Africa, Asia, and Europe. He slept among leeches, participated in chili pepper-eating contests, and watched a restaurant in Kosovo get bombed. His parents hated it, but George loved it. Thirteen years in California gave rise to a passion for motorcycles. He honed his skills on the Bay Area backroads, the California high desert, and the mountain ranges dominating the West Coast. After a three-year interlude back in his birth city, which included a stint building supercomputers in a midtown high-rise where he met his new life-partner in crime, George is ready to hit the road again.
